Just so you know, I am not one to do a lot of ‘self-promotion’. Therefore, I haven’t been really good about posting what I have been doing. I have always been taught it is better to work for a cause than for applause.
I attended the LaGrange Mini Fair. I met someone wonderful folks and handed a lot of candy out in the most wonderful parade. The coolest thing about Wyoming is the incredible network of little towns. Special close-knit communities are what make this great state what it is. And frankly, how it should stay.
Another fine example is Lingle. I was honored to provide salads and the fixings along with the most amazing cookies from our Amish bakery for a dinner for all of the fine folks who worked their tails off after the canal breach. Neighbors helping neighbors is the standard fare in this part of the world and again, it reminds us all of why we live here.
I’ve attended two legislative committee meetings; not necessarily for this campaign (but it certainly doesn’t hurt), but to learn as a commissioner. As I have stated before, county commissioners are the ‘long arm of the legislature’ and it is our duty to understand what may or may not be headed the county’s way through legislation. Saying, “I had no idea” after the bill has passed is in my opinion a dereliction of duties. Learning and being cognizant of what is happening is paramount to good leadership.
I’ve chatted, knocked on doors, put up signs, and shared laughter and concerns with so many of you. I am still out there and I will continue to work to earn your vote. Be sure to drop me a note or leave a message on my home phone. I will write and/or call you back.

Happy 4th of July! Happy birthday, America! God bless us all!
